FLY
All different exercises
You know the steps involved in an exercise but do not fully understand why you have to take each step or what forces are acting on your plane during these steps.
There are certain situations in which you do not feel completely at ease.
Do you prefer to perform some exercises with an instructor sitting next to you rather than on your own? How many opportunities do you have to practice?
- Do you fly the aircraft or does the aircraft fly you?
- Can I do that exercise well enough to practice on my own?
- Can I still ask that question now that I have my licence?
- What if I find myself in a situation but don't feel comfortable resolving it?
As a pilot, you want to be able to feel and control your aircraft at all times.
You want to learn how to be in full control of the aircraft. What if you don’t want to
give up?
There’s another way. One with a more detailed explanation, greater insight
and more fun.
A process in which you leave your frustrations behind and enthusiastically look forward to flying.

CONTENTS
With each theme, we first go back to the basics, the forces on the aircraft and the theory. We make a connection to the practical with very useful tips and tricks that you can use while flying. Everyone makes mistakes, you learn from them. I’ll reveal the major pitfalls and common mistakes so that we not only learn from our own mistakes but also from the mistakes of others.
This enables us to develop our own skills even faster.
In six live coaching sessions you acquire you the knowledge and confidence you need!
Circuit
Everything related to take-off and landing, i.e. departures and arrivals, aircraft breakdowns, weather conditions and communication in circuit.
Air work
This is a collective term for steep turns, stalls in different configurations, slow flight. We cover each of these exercises.
Unusual Attitudes
Something that many pilots avoid but once you know how it works, you can control the aircraft in those situations too. We cover the spiral dive, nose high, nose low and spin. Each one has special characteristics that we will explain.
Specials
Limited panel: flying on your standby instruments and with your compass Basic instrument flight: safely flying the aircraft out of a cloud in order to continue VFR Radio navigation: fly your route with the help of VOR and GPS
Navigation
We plan a route from A to B. We draw up a flight plan and see how to submit it, activate it and conclude it. Follow-up in flight with a digital map versus a paper map, legislation involving the digital flight bag and much more.

Hello
I am Anneleen Smits, passionate pilot, instructor, examiner and founder of In the Air.
I absolutely love flying. It makes me laugh when I think of flying, the view and the technicality of the plane, it’s amazing.
I dreamed of becoming a pilot when I was a child. My first flying experience as a 15-year-old cadet with the Royal Belgian Air Cadets was incredible. Professionally, I have continued to work to expand and improve my skills and abilities as a pilot.
–> years of experience in coaching pilots
–> I have already given hundreds of pilots tips and tricks to improve their skills
–> Various coaching courses taken both in and outside the field of aviation
Exploring your potential and improving your skills contribute to MASTERING THE ART OF FLYING, which I am thrilled to help you achieve.
What the pilots have to say
